Manuel Hüttl

General Manager, Germany, Switzerland and Austria
Based in the agency’s Munich, Germany office, Manuel Hüttl joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide (WE) in March 2007 as the general manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria (DACH). In this role, Manuel is responsible for expanding the agency’s local roster of Central European accounts and extending WE’s global accounts in the region.
Manuel has 13 years’ experience as a senior public relations practitioner. Over the course of his career, he has led projects and events for a wide array of organisations. Before joining WE, he held leadership positions at some of the top German public relations agencies, serving as director of advanced technologies with komm.passion as well as managing director of the specialist IT communication agency billo PR GmbH. His experience includes winning and growing new business, directing strategic planning initiatives, and creative programme development and implementation. Manuel initiated important and highly recognised conferences and thought-leadership initiatives with institutions, federations or alliances including NATO, the Professional Golfers Association, International Ice Hockey Federation and leading industry vendors.
Manuel is a lecturer on reputation management at the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück. He recently published his first book, which deals with the value of intangible assets in strategic management. He already held crisis management mandates that have related to a broad reputation management perspective (e.g. RSA Security, RFID, BenQ). Manuel is a Board Member of the European Expert Group for IT Security, EICAR. In his role as an expert on IT security awareness issues, Manuel is often a speaker and moderator at events.
