Financial Director - EMEA

As financial director for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide’s EMEA presence, Simon Paradine is responsible for the European region business services, including finance and accounting, as well as the management of accounts payable and account business planning. Simon is the principal business advisor to local management and provides financial reporting and analysis to local business leaders as well as the corporate finance department.

Before assuming his post at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Simon was head of finance for Nickelodeon UK Ltd, a television network in the Viacom family with annual revenues of more than £80 million. At Nickelodeon, Simon managed the finance team, overseeing month-end and year-end processes, as well as audit and compliance procedures.

Before his work at Nickelodeon, Simon was head office financial controller for Conran Holdings Ltd, where he oversaw group financials and subsequent reporting to the board, as well as the cash flow and treasury functions.

Prior to his work at Conran, Simon was the financial controller for Global Beach Ltd, a leading online digital agency, whose clients include Ford, Jaguar, Bentley, Center Parcs and B&W.

As a qualified chartered accountant, with over 12 years of experience, Simon has worked in a variety of accounting, auditing, controller and analyst roles with several leading pan-European businesses, including British Telecom and Ingram Micro.

Simon lives in Surrey, where his hobbies include karate, football, swimming and music.
