Waggener Edstrom scoops EMEA SABRE Award

Munich – 19 May 2011 - Integrated communications agency Waggener Edstrom was amongst the winners at the 2011 EMEA SABRE Awards in Prague in May.  The accolade recognises the strategic advice that helped manufacturers cut the cost of compliance with noise pollution regulation, and resulted in a six to one return-on-investment for two clients.

Led by Waggener Edstrom Germany, ‘PR Brainwave = Customer Win’ focused on a sustainable energy campaign working with Green City Energy and RAU.  The campaign took client service to the next level, facilitating a strategic partnership between two clients and combining their products to create Germany’s first ecological solar acoustic fence.

Resulting in a six-figure deal with a manufacturing giant, the campaign reached over 2.71 million people through 48 pieces of cross-sector media coverage including Business, Construction, Energy, National and Public Sector.  The campaign also garnered ecological results, as the acoustic fence produces enough clean energy to power 50 households a year whilst reducing 64 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
